With a volatile as the markets have been the past few weeks, I am curious if anyone has been trying to ride the waves to their advantage?

Once tried day-trading besides working my full-time job. Didn't loose the farm, but didn't make big bucks, either.

I day trade gold and have been doing great. It went up over $80/oz today, highest gain in history.

I love that term, volatile. My yo-yo doesn't go up and down as much. Dang! Those CDs I sold earlier this year are looking pretty good right now.
