Jeez, I can remember when every sporting goods store had some plain old sheaths for sale. Can't find one now. Not even Big 5 cheapo.

I want to get a sheath for my old Frary & Clark integral hunter.

Blade is 5" and at widest point 1 1/2".

Just about any old thing should work. The original is now 70 year old and about the consistency of paper.

Here's a pic.

Simple, huh?

You may want to check out the folllowing if they are near you:

Dick's Sporting Goods
Sports Authority

I've seen sheaths in both stores at one time. Smokey Mountain Knife Works sells a bunch of various sized sheaths. Hope this helps.

Look for a cheapo knife with a neat sheath..or make one yourself.
Could ask your knife shop too.
It's easy once you try.

Smoky Mountain has some generic sheaths for fixed and folders in their catalog. Very basic, but might be worth checking out.

Thanks for suggestions. Googling didn't give me near as much as you guys did. And I did consider buying a crummy one and using the sheath. Nothing fancy needed. The original was certainly a simple affair. Cept the point has stuck out of the bottom now and it's all cracked an brittle.

Damn stuff just no good. Only seventy years old an ...crackin...already.

:D :D :D

Lavan, that's a sweet old LF&C forged piece. Thanks for the pic.

How long, and how wide, is the blade? I might have a spare sheath sitting around that would fit it.

Or just get Gary Graley to do you a sweet one.

Yeah, 70 year old piece a crap worthless leather, I hear yah. :D
