any suggestions for a knife around the 50 dollar range? a folder for edc pretty much, had the EDC and griptilian before so you guys don't have to mention those, thanks

Well I had a big list compliled for ya, and I accidently hit the damn back button on my mouse :( So I will just say for Around $50 +/- $10 or so, Get a Delta Z Osprey. Thats one of the best EDC's for under $75 if you ask me. :)

for one option, look at the for sale forum, i have gotten several LNIB knives (ie BM spike/leapord/AFCK mini/910/905) for $50 or $65 tops. imho some of these are a lot better than a CRKT, ie the AFCK and 910. if ya are talking $50 from dealers, the CRKT stuff is hard to beat, but a spydie delica/endura would be great also.

but, while the CRKT stuff is ok, the BM stuff blows it away imho!!

Look in the exchange forums... you might nail something good.
IMO if you're looking for a cheap knife, CRKT makes some decent for their prices.
You might still find some of their discontinued blade at very good prices.
I like the M16 (not discontinued yet) myself, and I've handled a M18 that I've given away. It's a sweet thing.
You can probably find something that suit you.
I normally would suggest spydercos too, but you might have to look a bit harder to fit the whole bill (after s/h) under a $50.

hmm... the mini afck actually sounds like a good idea, if they ever come out with a satin d2 with axis lock then i'm all over it but even if the liner lock it seems like a good option, im not too fond of the lower end spydies with the frn handles though, and crkt stuff while pretty good for the money don't really strike me as well, ill look in to th delta z, but maybe i'll just save for a better knife, im really looking forward to the buck mayo

How about something from Outdoor Edge? Their folders are incredibly good for the money, I'm very satisfied with my purchases. The Impulse is going cheaply at many places online, as well.

Spyderco Calypso Jr.- they're discontinued, but there are still some around, also SMKW has Spyderco navigators for $30.

Manji :

Try GlassHartt@aol.com ; but only
if you like Spydies ;) She's a Law Enforcement dealer but sells to forumite(s); I got the C23GS "Renegade";) for $50 plus USPS shipping, but she has many others!
Drop her (Linda) an e-mail ; it won't cost you anything but some time on the "idiot box" of the 21st
Century ( computer ).

AET ;) (ATE on the Spyderco.com "home" forum ;))

How about a stainless Spyderco Delica? 1SKS has 'em listed for $45.99.

In that range + or - a few dollars, my suggestions include:

Spyderco:
Calypso Jr
Delica/Endura
Merlin

CRKT:
M16
Crawford Kasper

Buck:
110 Folding Hunter

Kershaw:
Leek/Scallion/Chive

SOG:
Flash

Cold Steel:
Voyager Series

Or, as previously suggested, you could go secondary market. I've found some excellent deals - just know what you're looking for, and how much your willing to pay. You can probably find knives in the $100 retail range for ~$50, if you're willing to deal with some wear.

If not, go for a new Spyderco Endura or Delica.

Good luck!

When I can’t decide what the knife should I carry today (or in current conditions) I always go with SPYDERCO Delica.

or just different? You could get a Vapor and a Chive for $50. The CRKT M-16 is a good beater and the Carson flipper is pretty quick. Maybe a small Sog Flash in Zytel? Five Opinels? Spydie Merlin? Leatherman Juice? What do you do in your everyday? Ninety percent of my cutting could be handled by a Queen D2 Trapper (I want one) but I think a SOG Vision would be a good worker (I want one of those too). Good hunting.
