Any suggestions for a good 12v portable auto compressor

Had a flat the other day, so pull out my patch kit and portable compressor. Took more than an hour to pump up tire.

Qustion: does anybody know of a powerfull 12v compressor, that is portable enogh to store in car?

I have used the $20 AAA compressor I got from Amazon. Does about 2psi/minute, which really isn't too bad for something that is the size of a loaf of bread and plugs into your battery.
 
I've got a cheap little Campbell Hausfeld that has lasted for years. Have no idea how long it would take to entirely inflate a tire but it does 10psi in about 3 minutes.
 
I have an entire set of Ryobi battery tools that all use the same battery. I bought a seperat Ryobi air compresser that uses the same batteries. After the battery sat in my truck for a month in the summer heat it was good to go. I came out of work on Wed. and found my truck tire flat. The compresser had it to 40psi in 3 minutes ! I know you're looking for a 12v plug in type but, just wanted to let you know about a good , FAST , reliable option also.
 
I've been happy with the compressor that originally came with the Corvette Z06 cars.

It is a "kit" with some liquid for fixing flats; ouy went the liquid and in went good old plugs and adhesive, with the tool.Made in Gemany suprisingly.

Haven't used it for a major flat yet, though.
 
ARB or Viair. They're the big names in the off-road world.

Some of the compressors can run tools, as well as fill up tires quickly.
 
The Slime kit I bought last year has a pretty good compressor in it. Kit came with valve cores, plugs, cement, core tool and pressure gauge for under 30$. Craftsman and Ryobi have a decent cordless compressor (I have both).
