Could someone please give a suggestion as to where I can go about buying an old khukri. I have absolutly no idea where to look and the search engines have yet to come up with anything productive. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Some of the British militaria/collectors shops turn up one now and again. I left those bookmarks on my old computer. I will see if I can find a few links to get you started.

Matthew, are you talking about an antique khuk, something of historical worth, or are you talking about just old, as in "well used?"

Steven, I am looking for something of some historical worth. Something similiar to a forward curving or anything of that nature.

Here's a start: http://www.sevenstarstrading.com/01swrdf.htm go down to the pix at page bottom and over to "other asian arms" and click on #1617 for a ( dui - correction: make that a ) tin chirra.

Also check out Lion's Gate. http://www.liongate-armsandarmour.com

At the bottom of their page(s) are links to the " The Sword Ring " which might help.

Oriental Arms might be better yet but I haven't a site for them.

Try ebay, you can find some good ones and some junk ones . Just be careful what you buy. I got a nice old 22" village khukuri yesterday, in good shape . I only paid $15.00 for it. I've got quite a few from there. Good luck.
