Hey guys,

So, the other day I was called out on a search. I wasn't informed of the specifics, and only had gear set-up for woods searching.

I ended up using my vest I had, over a PFD. We pulled over 70 miles during the river search, and I can tell you it was not very comfy.
So, heres the questions.:D

What vest have you guys used?
What do you like for river knives?(had to:D)
And, was it hard to get a hold of?

Right now im looking at the Stohlquist Wedge-E, its what the guys im running with are using, and its what they reccomended.

These are running around $100 in canada, which isnt bad, but because this is volunteer, and we are provided some gear, I was told that im better off to buy some stuff that I like, and not really depend on the extras that are available.

This is the one I have now, its not bad, but I would like a solid vest, and not have to throw this one on over. This one now holds a VHF radio nice, but I dont want so much extra space as well, just some bare necessities, Knife, radio, whistle, gps things like that.

Thanks guys,

BM FB Griptilian with combo edge is a good water knife it's 154cm, and would be light yet accessible on a vest.

Get the vest the other guy's are using, no brainer, it works for them...follow the lead!

Gerber River Shorty with the sheath that fits on your vest shoulder strap.
