Not much interest in this topic in the Chris Reeve forum. I posted the same question in general knife discussion, with much better results.Wondering the same, I have a s35vn pacific and it looses that crisp edge pretty quickly which I’m assuming is the lower hardness
Nice thread - thanks for sharing. I’ve always been interested in one but just haven’t been able to justify it. I’ve had the esee laser strike for years now, and it’s a great little beater for camping. But the CRK fixed blades are a lot cooler obviously.Not much interest in this topic in the Chris Reeve forum. Hello. I just recently noticed a Chris Reeve green beret 7” non serrated in 4V steel, pop up on Monkey edge. I pulled the trigger. The blade is now out of stock. Nothing wrong with those ESEE blades. I like the price and warranty. When you can spend less than $150 and get an unconditional warranty. You have no worry when beating the hell out of it. All new production switched to 4VAre all the new Pacific/Green Berets come in 4V or are they special runs. I just got contacted about my Pacific is ready to be built. I assumed it was in S35.
Its the plain edge, looks like its about 4 weeks out until itll ship. Ive been waiting about 1.5 years or so.All new production switched to 4V
Edit: assuming that you ordered a plain edge. They may still be running through some serrated S35
