Any thoughts on Bill Moran drop point vs. Temperance 2?

I'm looking at acquiring a knife that I could use for light bush crafting work (feather sticks, batoning small sticks for kindling), as well as general camp chores such as food prep. I have a hatchet for heavier chopping, so wouldn't use it for that. It looks like the Temperance 2 would behave a lot like a French chef's knife on the cutting board, yet has a thicker blade than a chef's knife. The Bill Moran has a thinner blade, so might be a better food slicer???

I've been going back and forth between the two and can't quite decide. The Temperance 2 is more $$, but that doesn't matter too much, as this would be a lifetime purchase.

Anybody have any experience with either of these two knives for this type of duty?

I use Moran (up-swept blade) every time I go backpacking.
Very light, very thin, terrific slicer. Better small blade for food and kindling.
But it is not a blade for battoning, unless you know what you are doing.

Temperance is a defensive MBC blade. Thickier, heavier, robust. Micarta handle must be heavy as a brick (but I can onyl guess).
