Is anyone familiar with the American Slider knife? Any thoughts or comments?

Do a search; there was some commentary when this was introduced. Seems awfully expensive to me tho'... I'd sooner buy a Stanley utility knife

Unfortunately, we're suffering from a complete lack of first-hand knowledge about the knife itself. That's my guarded opinion. My unguarded opinion is that it's hard to imagine this knife being worth the price even at 1/5 the price, which is probably why no one has picked one up and reported on it. However, I've most certainly been wrong in the past, so I continue to reserve final judgement on it until such time as someone actually buys and and critically reviews it.

I happened across a website selling these butt-ugly things today. They had them for about $60 and apparently they have interchangable blades. I've never handled with but they have no visual appeal at all.
