I have a Rush and a couple of Sirius knives. Don't have the Tempest.
I carried the Rush for several weeks. It's a lot more "carry-able" than the Sirius. Sirius is a hefty chunk.
It's a handy little knife, with an energetic snap. My hands are medium, and I am able to get a decent grip on it, though with arthritis messing with closing my last two fingers, the tapered handle requires a creative grip. I don't care much for the jimping on the liner lock, but YMMV.
If you're doing lots of boxes or packages, it's a fine tool. If you use your pocket knife for fruits and veggies, you'll find the thick-ish blade a bit awkward for large apples and the like, but the point and fine edge does an excellent job on bell peppers. I find a thinner, slightly longer blade works better in kitchen-type applications.
As a general purpose cut-things-that-need-cuttin' knife, it's certainly up to the task.
One of the girls that used to work a knife counter at Tri-State (sporting goods) up here wound up having to use hers to field dress a deer (left her main knife in the truck). She said it worked just fine.
I don't carry mine much any more, now that I have a Vantage and a Paradigm. The longer blade addresses more kinds of work, and the bigger handle suits my hands better. And, honestly, I even carry my 301 more than the Rush.
It's a good knife and does a good job of the things for which it is suited. It happens that there are other Buck products that suit my needs even better, so my Rush spends most of its time "on the bench" rather than in the game.
