Looks nice... do they come very sharp out of the box?
Is the price difference between cm154 and talonite worth it?
There's a limited run of 25 displayed on the 1SKS page... is the only difference between that and the standard offering the handle material and the sheath?
The sheaths on the limited run look really nice, especially the sheath for the mini talon.
A 2-1/4" blade (mini talon) seems kind of small, though.
That is barely larger than the blade ini my kershaw chive! :o/

Hi jerrin...

The Cuda Talon simple is one of the finest production knives I've ever owned...

I have the 154 CM model, and I'm pleased as pie with it...
The workmanship is Absolutely Top Shelf. The knife is a very comfortable design...

Mine was very sharp out of the box,,and yes I think the Talonite version is worth the money...

You won't go wrong with either blade...
Great hunting knife,,and it will be one of the knives I take up north this fall...

I've just recently purchased two. One is the regular Talon in talonite. The other is an EDC in talonite. I bought both through the forums. They seem to be great knives, are in like new condition, and I don't think I paid all that much more than the regular steel version would have been new.

They sharpen well. Only problem is that I now have a irrational hankering to leave them out and see if they really are that rust proof! :D

Jagged,

They really are rust proof. I ran my EDC through the clothes washer, and forgot the load was in there. Two days later - not a bit of rust.

Very cool!

Don't have the mini Talon but I own a mini Cetan in Talonite and it is my favorite small fixed blade knife. Rob knows how to make them.

I purchased a 154cm talon as my kayak knife, after much much handling of knives at various shops. A talonite version would serve the purpose better, but Mike turber was selling the 154cm for like $50 so I went with that. It is a really really well-designed knife, something that you can best appreciate by handling it together with other knives of the same sort at the same time. Compact but hand-filling, great ergonomics, very useful blade shape, and it looks nice too! If you are actually going to use the knife, then buy it & you'll be pleased.
