I've been looking at this knife as a potential buy, however I'm not sure if it's worth the 40 sum dollars that I've seen it being sold for. I continue to see times that I am in need of a bowie knife, is this knife worth my time?

I have a Condor Boomslang. It is one friggin awesome blade !!! Very Bowie-ish. I have pounded the living snot out of mine with no issues. I had to reprofile the edge on mine to get it to chop as good as my BK9, but it sure does now. Can't go wrong with a Boomslang. It even has a factory choil to use when choking up on the blade, i added the jimping you see here.

Yeah, I've heard a lot about the boomslang. I will take it into consideration. Thanks for the input. How much did you get your BK9 for? i.e. where did you buy it from?

If you check the specs against what's on the market, I don't think there is another beast that compares at $40. However, I've heard it said (on BF) that a $7 tramontina will outchop anything.
