HI Guys, looking for a good sharpening system and came
across the warthog V sharp classic, does anyone have any
thoughts on this one.besides sharpening I have a couple of
knives with false edges i want to sharpen. thanks for the
input.

I've seen them on tv used in meat processing plants and they are designed with Chefs and fisherman in mind. Probably works good on the low quality cutlery with long thin blades often used in these fields but not something I would consider as a full sharpening system.

I saw a very enthusiastic demo of one at a gun show 10 years ago. The seller was very excited. I don't think he sold very many, but he sharpened a lot of knives trying to do so. I think it's interesting, but I wouldn't own one. I'd rather have a sharpmaker and add the CBN rods if that was going to be my primary system.

If by "false edge" you mean an unsharpened edge that has a secondary bevel (but a flat edge probably 1/8" wide), you're in for a LOT of grinding to produce a real bevel. The warthog wouldn't even begin to touch that job. I'd use a belt sander or a file. Or perhaps a 100 grit diamond plate.

Hi,
warthogs are not kosher, so there is that :)
also diamond rods are easier to damage you must use lighter force
on such a small contact
much less than you would on 1in wide diamond plates (apex, sharpmaker)
which is under 1lb or under 1/2lb

update: oh its no rods just very narrow plates ... but Manufacturer Discontinued Item , No Warranty on Rods or Parts
