Any thoughts on the William Henry WH10-W?

Hello,

This is my first time posting to this board. I have been reading for the last couple days and have been blown away by the enthusiasm and knowledge of everyone - so I'm throwing this out: I want to get a new, nice pocket knife - I don't own any right now (If nothing else, I think that makes me unique to this group). The knife will get very light usage and mostly be in a business/office environment.

I am very taken by the William Henry WH10-W (sometimes listed as T10-W, does anyone know why?), but I haven't seen much about the William Henry line in these discussions. Are these good knives - worth the money? From what I have read, it sounds like the Sebenza is the one to get - but from looking at the pictures, I honestly don't find them nearly as attarctive as many of the other knives. Unfortunately, I can't find any place in the Los Angeles area that carries these kinds of knives - so all I am going on is the pictures I have seen on the Internet. Any thoughts about the William Henry WH10-W (and why it is sometimes called T10-W) and anything else I should be looking at would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I often carry my wharncliffe in black palm. It makes a great light duty knife and fit and finish are first rate. I recommend them.

I think that the T10-W is a beautiful knife and consider it's quality to be right up there with the Mnandi from CR knives.

Not sure but the T may have something to do with titanium, as this is what is used for the liners and lock.

As far as production/semi-production knives go, William Henry is pure top shelf stuff.
Although not the model your referring to, the pic that Magician posted is one that I have (except mine has G-10 slabs) and it is the best folder I own as far as fit and finish.
Try one of WH's knives and you'll likely be going back for more!:D

The knife you're refering to is the Lancet with wood scales, not the knives pictured above, which are from the Global Series. I have the Lancet in carbon fiber and it's great. I have a Kestrel in Fishtail Oak which is very nice too, but small! I love WH's stuff, and they are great gent's knives for office-carry. I've never seen an eyebrow go up when I pull out either knife. They are a great product, but not enough knife for me for weekend-carry. If you're comparing them to the Sebenza, I would take a close look at the Mnandi, which I think splits the difference nicely. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the speedy response! I'm glad to hear there is strong support for the William Henry. I looked at the Mnandi - which was very cool looking too. I think I'll order the T10-W tonight and take it from there...

Are there any knife shows coming to the Los Angeles area in the near future?
