Any thoughts on this?

Wow, nice!
No idea what it's worth, though, but it looks pretty unique. I'm sure someone else can answer more correct than me. But if I had the though, I would most likely get a piece. :D

Nice find, glad you shared it with us. :)

I saw that knife a couple days ago to0. Was going to post the URL for someone who said they wanted to make a sterling bali. Looks like it's already been done.

I bet Tony can find that thread.

Thanks Agent..., I never saw that one before.., and I guess we need to get Tony to browse his metalurgy archives also, since I don't have a clue what "French Silver" is??

Someone here will know.., but don't we grade the silver here with some sort of decimal equivalent?? Like .925 is the "not-so-good" stuff..., and .975 is the high quality version?? Or maybe that is an international standard, and they just used "French Silver" for an advertising plus?

It was my thread about the Sterling Silver balisong.

I believe "French silver" is a lower grade of silver than "coin silver".

According to "Federal Trade Commission Guidelines
Regarding Silver" "coin silver" must be at least 900/1000 pure silver.

People I have talked to say that "French silver" is probably more like 700/1000 pure.

My silver bali project is not dead! I am considering doing it in either Sterling (925/1000) or coin silver (900/1000).

Steel blade, probably going to try and do a custom blade. Am thinking of making it latchless. No holes, solid handles, BIG swing weight:D

Who comes up with these new designs, and why don't they talk with us? There must be some manufacturing facilities scheming over new designs, and pumping out strange and new balis all the time,..

Maybe we need Chuck's Bali-spy-sat.01 to give us some recon on these underground manufacturers...

Wow, if I buy now I can almost get one for the price of two!

The design is nice, though. It looks like it might be modeled after some very old patterns. Does anyone have one yet?
