any tips for making G10 handles???

I am wanting to make some custom G10 scales for my manix 2 but I have never done anything like this before. Any ideas as to what is the best way to make them???Also I am a little concerned about the ball bearing lock hole, any recommendations as to do it easily without messing it up any???
