Any "traditional" handled GWs out there?

Don't get me wrong - I love my snakeskin, tigerhide, and green linen micarta game wardens. But I'd really like to have a couple of my G-10 handled GWs redone in more "traditional" materials such as stag, ironwood,or curly maple.
Has anyone out there had this done? Photos?
Any recommendations on who could do this work for me? Cost?
Thanks for any information anyone can share.

I've seen a couple ram's horn wardens that were very nice. Giraffe bone as well, IIRC.

If you want to rehandle yours, you can send it back to the shop and have them do it (which might take a while) or you could send it to one of the guys here on the forum who do mods. Ban and/or Randucci might be willing to help if you ask.
 
Here's a smattering of satin GW's. Among them are a G-rex, giraffe, and a striped-somehtingorother. Oh and the Mrs. Cobalt (I think) Warden.

I got the Ram Horn and Buffalo Horn that Jerry sold in ganzaas a while back. I think they were $350 each at the time, and that's about what I've seen them go for on the exchange.

I love good Stag and have often thought of getting Stag put on an GW, AD or Meaner.

I saw a Cultie Ducci had done in stag that looked great!

Will York has a Basic with Stag that is out of this world, but I'm not sure who did it for him.

I don't think Ban does stag...if you do Ban put some popcorn stag on that AD I sent you:thumbup::D
 
Hey, you have all been holding out on me. I have not seen any of these, besides the buffalo horn, and the ram's horn.

I dig them.
 
Gorgeous knives guys. I think the natural materials are so much prettier than micarta. :thumbup: I know it is not bulletproof... but has anyone ever broke a stag handle??? :confused: It is very tough stuff, as are many of the woods used in knife handles.

I'd love a 4" warden in satin with a stag handle....or maybe a leaner meaner in the same config.

A guy can dream, ya know... :)
 
Garett, the bottom one looks like Cocobolo to me.
