Any tricks on making the 560 Freek more easily pocketable?

Until I recover from Christmas spending and look for aftermarket replacements, is there a hack for making the extra-grippy handle scales of the Freek easier to pocket?

I rarely carry mine because of the way it hangs up when I try to put it back in my pocket. I know it's just a little thing, but with other knives to grab instead, it is keeping my Freek sitting at home a lot.

Bend the clip out? Maybe sand the contact point?

The M4 Super Freek solved the problem for me with its smooth G10.

Unfortunately, it's not the clip tension or the texture of the harder scale material that's under the clip that's the problem; it's the rubbery texture of the dark-colored part that makes up the majority of the handle scales.

Buying a Super Freek is a very attractive but expensive fix. :)

Buy a mini and put AWT scales on it.

Unfortunately I think the only solution is aftermarket scales, bummer really.

I had a Grizzly Ridge and really loved the knife and actually loved the scale texture but the problem was getting it back in my pocket easily. I could never get used to that so I ended up selling it.

I've never really understood the design and why bm decided to use such a grippy material for an inlay.

The inlay is the harder material; it's the main part of the handle that is made of the rubbery/grippy stuff.

Yes that is right and I'm sorry for the mistake. When it first came out,it was mention that the overall handle material was like rubber and tacky. As such I avoid the freek and grizzly.
