Any users of Laurin Mettali blades: I need suggestions on blade finishing

Absolute beginner here - I have some Laurin Mettali blades which I'm planning to finish up with handles. But before I get to that, the blades need to be finished a bit more - not polished, necessarily, but at least fine sanded.
It looks like the blades were punched, as one side of the spine is rounded, and the other has a bit of a rolled-over edge. Also, on blades with ricasso, the top and bottom of the ricasso are a bit 'twisted'.
How far should I go to get the blade symmetrical? I don't want to thin the blade too much, or grind back the shoulders of the ricasso too much, but....
Suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

I file the rough backs and profile them, then sand finish them. I also reset the primary bevel. I’d need a picture of the ricasso to understand what you mean there.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate them. Since picture uploads aren't allowed here, I'll likely move my question somewhere else. Lots of helpful people here, but I don't think it's the place for me.

In fact, they are, if you use third party hosting.
