Just for curiosity sake. Is there any value on an original BK7? Probably 15 years old maybe?? Thanks

Of course it has value, but the value would vary depending on amount of use it has and various other factors.

Understood. I bought it maybe 20 years ago. I strictly remember testing it in a chop test against my Swamp Rat Ratweiler. Maybe 25 minutes of use but I remember it out cut and chopped my SR in every test!! Never touched it again. I just found it in storage from all these years later. Absolutely zero damage. Just a bit of the coating scuffed. Tore that SR UP. I was so impressed that day

I traded mine years ago moved on the the Kabar BK9. My Cam. BK7 had a green and black sheath ,cool that yours in all black. I was at a gun shop a few years back that had a mint in box Cam. BK9 and BK7 they wanted $200 for the 9, I laughed at them.

I wander why it was unused for so long if it beat the swamp rat in every test.
Also the 7 is more then 20 years old so what do you mean by original?

I pretty sure Ethan and Camillus got together in 1999. They started making the bk1-5 in 2000. The bk7 didn't come out until 2002, and that was the version with the smaller pommel. The regular pommel version probably didn't come out until 2003 or later. They stopped making them in 2007. So the blade is anywhere from 11-15 years old. I won't give a "value" number because bladeforums doesn't like that. But I will say that because kabar makes a current version with a warranty, there is little value in it unless your selling it to a collector and it's mint BNIB. Some Camillus beckers are slightly different than the current kabar offerings so that increases value. The only things a Camillus bk7 has going for it is 1) If it has that small pommel on the early versions. Or 2) The steel is different. I prefer the kabar steel. Others may not. That may increase the value to some.
