Hey guys, I have a BBS exclusive para 2 in M390 that I love, but I really can't stand that bright blue color.....which is weird because I love blue. For some reason, I just can't stand it on this knife.

Is it possible to dye them? Not sure how you'd go about it, but I feel like it has to be possible. If it is possible, do you need to break the knife down before attempting to dye it?

Thanks in advance guys.

Or post in the trade section to trade your scales for some black ones from another member

I dyed my camo PM2 scales maybe a year ago. It took several tries and ultimately it took boiling them on the stove in the dye for literally hours. After all that you could really only tell that they weren't originally black in bright sunlight.

Ultimately I posted in the "wanted to buy" section and bought a black g10 pair for like 20 bucks.

Yeah, tons of great vids out there on it. Or sell/trade them for some brand new black ones. Tons of people would like to have those blue ones. You could probably get a little bit of cash with the trade too.

I made an easy video on how to do this, i did it to my 710 exclusive.

Awesome, thanks! Will be doing this come Sunday.

No worries mate, i'd suggest since your g10 has a lot of blue to leave it for at least 45 - 60 mins in the pot instead of the 30 minutes like i did in that video, will help get the best results. Good luck and post some pics when done.

It would be better to buy a new set of G10 scales from BOOMER52 or someplace because in a year or two you may change your mind about the color and have regrets.

Many people would love those blue scales. I have some black ones laying around that are new that I'd trade you for the blue ones.
