Any way to remove a CRKT logo from the blade?

My new favorite knife is the Pilar III. I love pretty much everything about it... I would just really love to remove the CRKT logo from the blade somehow. I'm pretty new to the knife world so please forgive my ignorance. Is there any good way to do this? Would bead blasting the blade itself or maybe some other sort of tumbling process work for this? Thanks in advance!

Just tumbling won't do it, heavy blasting might erase it depending on the type of laser marking. Blasted finishes scuff easily though...most people have been opting for tumbling after blasting in my experience, virtually immune to showing wear.

Awww, man! I feel ya. I've attempted to solve problems like this before and I never was satisfied with the results. The use of any abrasive to remove the text will make you want to do the whole thing to make it uniform and then it will never be the same, and that really is a nice stonewash on that blade. The only thing I can think of is, if the text is an epoxy coating, rub it with a cotton swab and some stripper and see what happens. If it is laser or chemical etched, I would leave it alone and let it remind me of how I must save my pennies to get that knife I really want. But really, when it comes to tasteful and limited text on the blade, I've seen few do it in a way I like. Hopefully others here are able to be more of a help than I've been. I think you're in the right place!

If you're really thrilled with the knife and you believe it would be worth the expense send it for a full regrind.
The performance improvements are significant but the total cost compared to value... not so much. But the logo would be gone and it would look kind of awesome.

That thing could DEFINITELY be thinner behind the edge, looks like it must be at least 0.040"😱

I’m intrigued by this, thank you. Do you know who I might send this to for a full regrind? I think I’d be willing to try it!

Head over to the services offered subforum and ask around, you should get a few replies.
I'm a little out of touch with the regrinders since my go-to guy stopped doing it, but I've seen a couple of new logos on regrinds lately so someone is picking up the slack.

I wound up sending my Pilar 3 to Wilfred and he did an AMAZING job, as seen in the post above. Just how I envisioned it, and he even stripped the logo from the clip and made it bronze! I cannot wait for it to arrive, I am so damn excited. Thanks again everyone!
