I kinda think it has to do with patents, many good folder designs are patented by other knife makers ( I.E. The Competition) and the cost to utilize one of those is probably out of the ballpark. So to design a new folding system will take extensive research not only in design, but also to protect against patents infringements, the lawsuits get expensive, IMO.

There's been several folder designs, Jerry is working on it, and when it comes out, life will be good :thumbup:
