Has anyone heard from Sarge lately? He hasn't posted since mid-February. I hope all is well with him.

Josh I think we're all concerned about Sarge. It isn't like him to go this long without posting nor to not let us know he was gonna be gone for a while. I just pray that if he is in the sandbox that he is all right!!!!

Include me in on that. Sarge is one of the guys who make this forum a richer place for his involvement.

Fellas, I certainly didn't think I was the only one who had noted Sarge's absence from the Cantina ;) I just thought I might have missed some news somewhere along the line. I thought that the last time Sarge was keeping young soldiers out of trouble he had some (limited) internet access. Hopefully he will be able to check in one of these days if that's the case.

He's on call and could have been sent on a mission with no notice at all. That's what I'm figuring. I just hope he's okayl

I've sent U.S. mail to his address, as well as emails about every three weeks, since he stopped posting. No response at all. Even when he was in Afganistan, he could check email. I've been sending books to Pappy, and he says he hasn't heard anything either.

I hope and pray he is alright.

I can't imagine what it might be, but maybe something turned him completely away from the internet.

He will always be in my mind. Hope he comes back.

Kismet- on a happier note- what books have you sent Pappy?

You really are a kind guy.

Did a search and found this site for Sarge's SCA group. It lists a phone number for him. I emailed the Seneschal to see if they have any info about Sarge's whereabouts.

You folks are better family than most "genetic" families. I am in awe. Praying for Sarge too.

Munk?

No big thing. Pappy said he liked Westerns and mysteries. Since he was unable to walk, I figured he could spend some time with Louis Lamour and others -- books I was given by my daughter, but really wasn't looking forward to reading.

(I remember being laid up, having friends say "sorry to hear you're hurt," and then going on with their lives...appropriately, of course...but it got awful lonely.)

If anyone has a real name, rank, etc...I have access to military email, might be able to get something through. If so, send it to my Yahoo maill, don't post it here.

On a positive note I checked the list of Middle East war casualties and he wasn't on there so that's a hopeful sign that he's just out of touch. You know Gonzo Beyondo just got irritated by something and gave up the whole internet knife discussion thing.

I have his mil address - email sent. now just "wait-n-see"....

I sent mail to his mil mail address and AOL address some time back. No reply, but neither mail was returned. Called the last phone # I had last night, and left a message that we were concerned about him. The recording was a generic one, so I don't know if it was still his #. Hope everything is ok.
