Wasn't it due out this month? Any word on a projected release date?

About two weeks ago Leatherman emailed me, Supertool 200 was given a release date from late August to early October!! Also the Juices are due mid-October

Dennis and I were thinking the same thing. I have been looking forward to this knife for a while. Hey Dennis are you like me? Do you have an assortment of multitools just stashed in your sock drawer? I am always looking for the latest and greatest. Lately I have been carrying my SAK Cyber Tool lately. Really a neat looking knife/tool.

I have so many multi-tools it isn't even funny. The Supertool 200 looks to be just what I am looking for. I probably won't need to buy any more once I get it. :D Of course, I have told myself that before. :D

Do you suppose they'll put blades that actually hold an edge in the new model? Because the ones in the old Super Tool will roll over while peeling a hot dog stick. Otherwise, a great tool.

You mean that you actually use the blades on your multi-tools? What kind of knife nut are you? That's what the other 5 knives in your pockets are for. ;)

I'd actually prefer to see Leatherman come out with a bladeless multi-tool. It's the one function of my Leathermans that I never use.

Buzzbait, I'd have to agree with you on a bald less tool. I NEVER use the blades on mine, but I do
find comfort in knowing that they are there as a last ditch backup. Ideally if leatherman ,gerber, etc
would put ONE good blade in the tools that would be plenty for no more than they get used.

BudK claims to have them in stock right now, item # LT6305 I've never used the blades on my ST. I'd like to see one replaced with a scissor.

Buzzbait, Tightwad,
I gotta agree with you. After the first few attempts to use the blades and seeing how poorly they held an edge, I never use them any more, either. Still, you'd think that Leatherman would have figured out how to heat treat steel for edge retention by now. After all, the file seems to work OK.

Oooh, boy. The Supertool 200 does look to be the best thing going, IMHO. I do like my Pulse for daily carry since it is nice and small.

Wonder if the wire cutters on the S200 will be any better than those on the Pulse?

Greg, I agree on the Cybertool. I carry the 29 everyday and I really like it! Nice having torx bits on me at all times!

Cabela's has the Supertool 200 in it's latest catalog for $54.99

Any online retailers 'round here have them yet?

I'm sorry, I'm not the biggest knife nut, and I've
never had anything much better then SAk's, or AUS-6,
but I've NEVER had any problems with the blades on my WAVE
It's all I carry then I'm out of the house,
I use it for everything from Box cutting to Food spliting,
and I always thought it took a good utility edge, It'll cut
paper, or my skin, Never done much wood cutt'en with it,
Always used the Saw for that :)
I think it's better then SAK's and that's what 80% of people
carry (Notice I said "I think" Leatherman is better then SAK, not
that Leatherman IS better then SAK) :)

I was in Green Top Sporting Goods in Richmond yesterday, and they actually had the Supertool 200. Looks like a combo between the Pulse and the original Supertool. I'm not sure of the price, as it didn't have one on it yet. So they are out there.

Chris
