Any Word on the Swift?

I'm looking forward to this one. Not a huge fan of A/O knives, but if the specs on the website are to be believed this thing is big, lightweight, great blade-to-handle ratio and looks to have a nicely contoured handle to boot. Any idea of a release date?

I don't know about the swift myself, but I would definitely like to hear some news on the 4-Max as well if there is any... we are 1 week over the estimated release date so another update would be great!

I really like the blade shape on this one.

I am unsure about a lockback with assisted-opening, but I generally like Cold Steel products, so I expect to be surprised on this.

Apparently they have a few limited run models at Bladeshow, so maybe the regular version will follow shortly.

If they're offering some different colors of G10 then I hope a few leak out to dealers. I'm gonna get it either way, but I find the sea of black G10 a little tedious and I'd love to have an option for a splash of color.

Yeah I'd like a little more variety in the color department too. I'm actually really happy about the Finn Wolf having the OD green scales, but I sure wouldn't mind seeing a few others in something beyond black.

I'll try to get a better time estimate on the Swifts .. was told the 4-Max would be 6-8 weeks out. Picked up a couple Swifts and Black Talons, these should be available shortly. Going back this morning, so I'll try to get a better time estimate on these two.

Thanks you, sir, it's much appreciated! On paper the Swift looks like an absolute home run, I'm eager to get one in hand to really see.

:( We were told 6-8 weeks for the 4-max over 8 weeks ago (I literally put this on my calendar... impatient much? haha). I hope they have a higher certainty this time!

Most companies will be optimistic when they give you timelines and then stuff happens. Bottom Line: they will get here when they get here and good things are worth waiting for. The Swifts are very well done. I'll post pics when I can .. just got back from Blade and have things to catch up on first.

I just recently went to a Cold Steel parking lot sale. I didnt buy anything as I was called away on a family emergency. Anyway, I got hooked on the CS knives. I didnt even know CS was but 6 miles from me, probably because I wasnt into knives then as I am now.
What do they actually do in their facility, just assemble?

Picked these up at Blade. I'm impressed, even though in general, I am not a fan of assisted openers. I like to rely on personal attributes. Well done.

Now you need to take one apart, so we can see how the assist mechanism works. :D I'm wondering if this is a torsion bar setup, or uses part of the liner as a spring (ala, United Cutlery Tailwind), or something totally different?

You can take yours apart :p , but i don't need to mess with something that is not broke. :)

That Black Talon is so mean looking lol. I used to have a Civilian that I sold because I couldn't really trust the lock(too little resistance). But with a thumbplate and tri-ad? I think I might have to pick up one of these man-openers.

It's been over a month since anyone has bumped this thread and I'm wondering if there have been any updates on when the swift might be released?
