A new worker with an Almite handle!?!?! I am looking forward to this, it is a great knife, another wonderful holiday surprise! Thanks for the info Sal.

Ah yes, one of my first and favorite Spydies but soon retired it. Handles are too darn slippery! Aren' t there any truly serious users out there who can appreciate a nicely textured set of handles?? Am I alone on this?? If there are any variants to be made, why not use an amply textured G10 handle material? Just look at the BF special edition blue G10 Native!

Nakano - Hi. I guess it depends on useage. We began with stainless scales. maintenance free, tough.

We have used aluminum on the Worker, G-10 on the Standard & Harpy. I liked 'em. Public didn't.

I'll start a thread with your Q.

On this particular model, it is more collector because of the 20 year run of the actual model that began the change in the market. Modern Aluminum is hi-tech, light, and can be colored. The Lum Chinese is quite striking in the green Almite. don't know the color yet (Those with an eye for "pretty" would be better qualified than me to select color.
