I brought this up last spring, I think... I heard there were plans in teh works for one, but hadn't checked back in a while...

Too bad for us Lothar, I guess we're the only two people who want the waved CQC-7A. Oh well, while I'm wishful thinking, I want one with a brushed (not coated) satin finish, plain edge and green G-10 scales and another with the all black treatment). ;)

me choice would be a black blade with green handle...

now that would be something that not everybody had

I to would love to see waved cqc-7a!!! I am currently debateing between la griffe,mini-commander,mini-cqc7 for edc up north. any suggestions?

Tim, La Griffe is so comfortable and concealable you might as well get in the habit of carrying it anyway, but not as a primary EDC. For that you should have a bigger knife because there are some things a small hooked blade just won't do :)

Either of those minis you mentioned would do fine. My personal favorite for a general purpose Emerson is the clippoint Raven, which is closer to the mini-7 than the commander.

With all of the new Emerson models of late and in the pipeline, I guess our chances for a waved CQC-7A are "slim" to "none." I'm not happy about it but I can understand the business decision by Emerson. :(

According to Derek, the CQC7A will disappear. They probably have some stock left, but manufacturing is (or will be) stopped. That means that the chance of having a waved 7A is as good as zero.

Thanks you guys. I`ll guess I will get the cqc-7a since its been benched. But still will get mini commander for the wave feature.
