Anybody actually using the BM DeJaVoo

How do you define "regular" use? That could make a big difference if you are are a hard knife user in the construction business or an office weenie that just needs to open some envelopes.

For me, I carry a mini-dejavoo occasionally. In fact it's in my pocket right now. I don't think it's a hard use folder by any means. It is however one of the sharpest slicers I've ever carried. The thin flat grind S30V is one that I can get scary sharp. It's an envelopes worst nightmare.:D

I've got one in a knife bag, will not see any action , because of various beaters lying around.

but in a pinch, or if it was the only knife i had, it would serve well, it's wellmade, super strong bronze washers.

I have a full-size one that i carry regularly. It suits my every day needs but if i was going into the wilderness it wouldnt be the first knife i grabbed.

Overall id say that it is a very good, very smooth, very sharp knife that rides well in the pocket.

I carry 740 every day. Pivot screw is getting loose time by time. Black clip get worn a bit. All else - well.

I have the Mini Dejavoo, and it has basically been sitting in my drawer since I bought it a couple months ago. After reading this thread yesterday I decided to EDC it(first time) today at work. I'm an electrician in the construction trade, and used the knife quite a few times today, from cutting jetline to stripping wire, oh yeah and bit my thumb as well:o. It handled all the tasks I gave it today, was comfortable to carry, and is super sharp. It will be in my pocket tomorrow, and is on it's way into my EDC rotation.

along with a regular millie, the dejavoo makes its way into my edc rotation
marvellous ergos & super smooth G10 scales

I bought the mini just so I could reprofile it on my edgepro for a ultimate cutting tool, somewhere around 10 - 12 degrees per side, and it's working out ok although I don't use it for anything too heavy. The reprofile went pretty smooth partly because of the no thumbstud to get in the way. The full height flat grind is what interested me in the first place about it.:thumbup: Mine is in my pocket today too although I'm feeling naked without my usual EDC Manix. Quite a difference between the two. To say the least.:) The only almost issue I have with the mini is that the opening hole is half buried in the handle so it isn't the easiest knife I own to open. Still not too bad though all things considered.

When you there is quite a difference between the Manix & the Dejavoo is that because of the weight....that is the Manix is just built stronger?

I think BM came out with this model to compete with the Spyderco Military. It has a few things I notice- ease of opening, size, weight and materials used- close to the Spyderco. For some reason people seem to believe the BM is much weaker, than the Military. It really should hold up about as well, its got double liners. Don't know of any hard use testing to see if it is as durable as the much respected Military. I like my Dejavoo for it's extremely easy to open capability. Doubt the model will ever be nearly as popular as the Military because if nothing else the handle is much better to grip on the Spyderco.

I love the Dejavoo...... I wouldnt use it as a survival knife... but thats not what it was made for. For my normal every day tasks which include light to medium cutting it works great. It can slice up a watermelon with the best of them too. Great knife overall..... you would be hard-pressed to find a knife of this size that carries so well in the pocket.
