I like CTS-XHP a lot. It holds a fine edge for a good while. I believe the Chaparral line is supposed to have it as the standard blade steel; from what I heard the CF Chaparral had S30V because they couldn't get enough CTS-XHP at the time.
I have been hearing a lot of good things about XHP. I haven't had the opportunity to try it out myself. I hope that Sal puts XHP on the Native 5 lightweight model that is going to released.
I find CTS-XHP on the Techno to be pretty decent stuff -- haven't sharpened it since I got the blade a few months ago (it does see light duty, nothing more though).
