Anybody been whitetail deer hunting yet?

Just curious if anyone has had any luck hunting yet this season. Our bow season came in Sept. 15 but I always wait until the weather cools to go out. I've been tied up filling knife orders and trying to get ready for the Chesapeake custom show and have had a hard time getting out. I did go out two mornings earlier this week and had 7 bucks cruise by but didn't get a shot opportunity. They were still in their bachelor groups as the rut is still about a month away. There was a spike, a forkhorn, 3 six pointers, an eight pointer and a ten pointer. If the ten would have been in bow range I would have shot. No luck. Any good hunting stories out there?
