Anybody carry a CRKT Eros or Ripple?

I bought an Eros not too long ago. It is a beautiful knife, very well made and nicely finished, but I had some trouble opening it so it has prettty much ended up a safe queen.

I don't think it's the knife's fault though as it may just be that it is too small for my freakishly large hands. The frame is very narrow and slim so you have to be very conscious of the way you grip the knife. Even slight pressure on the lock bar will cause the blade to stick. I actually started a thread on it.

someone else may not have the same problem. It is a very nice knife overall, just not a good fit for me. I can't see why it wouldn't perform well over an extended period of time. It is a quality piece.

I received my charcoal ripple three weeks ago and have been carrying it as a normal medium-use knife since. I like the eros visually a little better before I decided to purchase the ripple, but that has changed soon after I started using it. This thing is beautiful up close; never had a knife with this much detail. I haven't had any problems with it so far and I'm still amazed at how smooth the IKBS system functions. Both models are slim knifes and even if they had vault-like lock-ups it still wouldn't be possible for hard use due to it's thin blade, and I'm fine with that.

What made me choose the ripple over the eros was the price point. I'd rather pay 70 for the ripple than 110 for the eros. Also with such a thin frame-lock design, I opted for the stainless steal ripple over the titanium eros since ss has less of a tendency to stick and wear out.

The lock up was at 100% when I received it and still remains to be the same. There have been several times when I gripped the knife for harder cuts and the lock bar did stick to the tang of the blade but when I engaged it back to lock, I barely noticed much movement towards the side. Since using it, there has been the slightest movement over it's still at 100%. Overall I trust the locking without a doubt for all my cutting tasks.
