anybody concerned about stropping compounds?

Just wondering if those of you that finish your knives on a loaded strop consider the possibility of a small amount of stropping compound remaining on the knife, which you might then use on food.
I can't imagine that tiny diamond particles would be very healthy if they were ingested.
What are your thoughts?

The PPM is too small to be concerned with.

Yep, I've thought about it. Diamonds are pretty inert but I dunno if they still are at that size. The dispersion medium is also another concern. I don't know if there is a standard medium used in the industry and how food safe it is. I hope we get more guys to chime in.

I strop with white diamond, followed by green chromium oxide, followed by bare leather. By the time I hit the strop, the blade is already mirror polished by 2000 grit stones. There is no compound left when I'm done. If I had any doubt, I'd just wash it with water.

I don't use my main (one blade/locking) folder for food prep anyway, so no, it doesn't worry me. When I strop my kitchen knives, I just wash them with soap and water afterwards.

Yep, your in way more danger getting in your car and driving to work.

Don't sweat it.
