Does anybody EDC a Leatherman Crunch? If so, how often do you use the locking pliers? I have a Crunch and love the locking pliers, but usually carry either my Wave or SwissTool for primary use. I like to carry the Crunch just in case I need it, but seems like a lot of extra carry for the little I have needed it. Plus, I don't like the extra geeky look of two Leatherman sheaths on my belt at once - well I don't mind, but my wife has a different opinion...

How many of you carry a Crunch as your primary/only multi?

Well, I carry my crunch as a secondary tool. My primary is the SAK Cybertool 41. (But you already knew that). Sometimes I belt carry only the SAK (in a nice basketweave leather sheath), but then keep the crunch in breifcase or bag becasue I hate to be without it. :p

I'm waiting for the day when I have one tool that combines all the features of both...

I've always wanted a Leatherman Crunch to complement my other multitools, so I bought one for $34 on eBay. The knife blade on my Crunch is stamped Leatherman USA. Oddly, local stores which sell all the other Leatherman tools do not offer the Crunch.

It is quite an interesting tool, though the pliers take more time to open than on the other multitools. I miss having an awl.

The downloadable Crunch instruction manual at the http://www.leatherman.com web site claims the Crunch has a bottle opener, but I don't see it. Their diagram points to the handle as the bottle opener.

How does this work? How can the Crunch be used to open bottles?

Hey, wow!
I was smart enough to find the bottle opener on my own, but never realized before that by spinning out the plier-tensioning screw, the Crunch has a hex bit driver!

Doh!

The Crunch is so compact I carry it in my pocket too, but on the hip I have a Charge.

The Charge is my primary, but boy those locking handles on the Crunch come in Extremely handy.
