Anybody else being sent away to other sites while on BF?

When I'm on bladeforums, and only then, I'm sometimes being sent away to other sites. I guess it's the adds that hijack me.

I have bad memories from the time you could get some kind of malware because of the adds.

Does this happen to anybody else, and can the owners do something about it?
 
You mean ads? I've never seen one, nor have I been sent away. It does happen on some sites, especially when you accidentally scroll over an ad. Suddenly you are in another universe.
 
The weird thing is that I don't even scroll over them and it happens. It may happen if I open several topics in different tabs with the scroll wheel on the mouse.

By the way I'm in northern Europe and some of the ads that opens by themselves are in my language. I may provide a link if it happens again.
 
I was a Registered Userwhen I first started here. that lasted about a week. I turned around and gave him the $25.00 for a gold membership. I made some mistakes here and got ding for it to. I had to learn and the other members here did just that. you cant belive all of the stuff you get to do being a gold member or higher. I would give it to him. what is $25.00 to you if you are working??

You have options:
A. $10 gets you a basic membership, and eliminates ads. The money goes to keeping thenlights on here.
B. modify your Internet browser to block ads.
C. Regularly check your machine for malware/spyware, etc.
