We got the call to evacuate yesterday. I am worn out but we have lots of friends willing to put us up.

I am in Simi about 50 miles away or so, but it is a bad one. Seems like every year it gets a little worse. Smoke smell is kinda strong when the wind blows west. Good luck, and stay safe.

We are back in our house. The three large hepa-vac air filters are the only thing thats allowing us to stay. The air is unbelievably bad in La Crescenta.

No, I'm in OC but I can see the smoke plume rise up like a mushroom cloud. Stay safe & be careful.

Could see the smoke filling the Antelope Valley from Rosamond. The 14 north was shut down Saturday. Ashes falling like snow in Lancaster/Palmdale. Dark grey skies and the sun was blood red at noon. Felt like I was a bit character in "The Road". Had to trek over to Gorman and catch the I-5 to make my ESD Symposium in Anaheim. From the hotel, I could see the hills glowing red over toward Tujunga and Pasadena. Eerie week. Glad you're okay and back home.

Best of luck to you folks in SoCal.

Stay safe.

Good luck, I have been watching the news, this is a really bad one. Don't forget to pack your knives, golf clubs, tools.

Oh and wife and kids.

I grew up in La Canada, not too far from the base of the Angeles Crest Highway where it hits Foothill Blvd. I do know how it goes, though we never had to evacuate.

I won't send smoke as you have more than enough of that, but prayers for your safety are headed up from San Diego.

im out in studio city, and everynight since the fire started, i bike up to outpost drive, where you can see the whole san fernando valley, and watch the flames, theyre starting to get pretty gnarly
