I started collecting some Spydie's a few months ago and throwing them in my messy safe. Finally straightened it out and realized I have bought over 30 of them. How could this happen? Is this Forum toxic, and why didn't anyone warn me! The worst part is I don't think I can stop. Is there like an AA thing for this? I would like to use one of them on the person who invented credit cards. Tell me I am not alone, please.

It's not the worst addiction. At least you're buying something that retains a lot of value and is easily resold. I'd say worry less and just enjoy the hobby.

At one point I had well over 30 myself. Sold of most of them now the same thing is happening with another brand that makes left handed knives. Problem with this brand is they start in the mid $400's. Thank god for the second hand market. Just keep collecting them. If Sal ever makes the shaman pm3 or and other compression locks in a lefty I'll definitely buy them . I have the pm2 in a lefty great knife.

I keep one nice blade for weekend edc and 2/3 for work beaters.

On one hand I will say that they are only things so try not to be consumed by material goods.

On the other hand, there are far worse things to spend your money on. As long as all your bills are getting paid then just be happy that you found something that you enjoy.
