Or for that matter either flintlock or percussion traditional style rifles or pistols?

I really like these types of guns. I'm not big on the actual antiques but rather modern day handmade versions.

They are a hoot to shoot!

I love flintlock rifles and pistols, very elegant in appearance, and most of the time beautiful. True works of art. Going to Friendship IN twice a year to see the blackpowder shoot is always fun (although the weather is usually 100 degrees with 99% humidity)

Unfortunately, I've never had the....patience for blackpowder, they're just too slow. I'd have to have 30 pistols loaded ready to go, and 30 people to constantly load them for me :o

They are very fun. I have a black powder revolver that is a hoot to shoot. Love that smoke!

I have a Northwest Trade Gun and a Dixie squirrel rifle in 32 cal but I don't shoot them much anymore. I really enjoyed the pretending to be a mountain man for a number of years. My smooth bore trade gun was my do all survival gun, from quail to deer.

I like shooting them but can't afford or justify spending the $ on a real nice flintlock like I want. I have shot several deer including my first two with traditional percussion. Back before rifled barrels and sabot slugs, most of my family used them to hunt deer here in Ohio. I would really like to shoot a Brown Bess.

I've got a couple Colt 1851 Navies I used to carry on horseback, two Colt 3rd Model Dragoons (one worn crossdraw on occasion), and a Colt Walker (my "Gus" gun) that I've never shot - all 2nd Generation guns made in the 1970s. Got rid of all my modern pistols stuff unless you count a 1902 Colt .44-40 Bisley as "modern".

I used to do living history up in Minnesota. We specialized in the fur trade era. My North Star trade gun, a smooth bore flintlock, is still one of my favorites to shoot!

I mean, how can you resist? Big flash, big boom, and lots of smoke!

I brought a few grouse home for the pot using it as a shotgun. Tons of fun!

I used to have a really nice flinter - then traded it off for a 30-30.
over the years I've had a variety of percussion models as well - currently Walker, 1858 remmy, and hawken replicas.

I prefer NMFSH pics rather than flintlock or percussion traditional style rifles or pistols, etc....

Flintlocks are great shooter I play with my traditions Pennsylvania long rifle on the range, and hunt with a Traditions new PA flintlock system which shoots mag. loads .shoots on a dime and have drop 2 deer sence i owned it,been thinking about selling it though Got in to bow hunting bad,and havent picked up a gun in almost 2 years for hunting. Its a fun Hobbie you just got to get past the flash of the pan, many a friend flinch when it goes off.Its a challenge hope you enjoy it as much as i did

I love old ones and new ones especially if they have a tiger stripe maple stocks. They are so beautiful make you want to put on a coon skin cap;):D

I've got a Traditions Deer skinner flintlock that I bought some time ago and while this gun has proven to be a worthless piece of junk it(the frizzen isn't tempered correctly or something, it throws very few sparks) really spawned my interest in traditional muzzleloading and BP to the point where I am seriously considering dropping some money into a reasonably reliable and accurate flintlock of some sort. Traditional muzzleloading from what I can deduce is a very expensive and addictive hobby I've also obtained a Pietta 1858 remington copy and an older percussion T/C renegade since then.

I seldom seem to have enough time or $ for the hobbies i have now...but i always thought it looked like loads a fun.

Hey Jerry!

I always wanted to be able to do matched sets of firearm and blade.

My own view is that all handgun should be mad or purchased in pairs. There is nothing more gorgeous than a brace of fine flintlock pistols with a fighting blade to accent them both. Like these with damascus barrels! WOWZERS! Look at the patina!

If I can ever get myself together, my first build is going to be a rifle that begins life with parts from these folks....

As near as I can tell they are one of the best outfits to get quality from the start.

Anyhow to answer your questions ...Yeah I dig the old flinters....

The House Brothers are my heroes!
