Prefer yellow but could live with black. Beauty is as beauty does... I also posted this on the exchange forum, but tjhen thought someone might know of a place that still has them in stock.

There are some very good threads explaining how much better Spydie H1 is in SE if you are open to it. I remember one from a couple years back that had Sal Glesser saying it was a top dog in edge retention compared to all the steels they had tested, when it had serrations.

This could be true out of the box (I don't have a serrated model, only a plain edge), but after sharpening my plain edge Pacific Salt about 4 times I've noticed the edge has stayed sharp longer after each time I sharpened it. And I can't complain about edge retention, even when it was new out the box.
