Hello guys,

I was hoping that a colleague flying from San Diego next Friday to our office in the Netherlands could have taken an Leatherman Charge XTi with him for me but sofar I haven't been able to find a shop that sells it for a good price AND has it ready to ship.

I'll probably will have to wait some longer before I'll hold one and this gives me time to ask user information from anyone who has one already.
I'm really in doubt wether to get the Charge Ti with scissors but no beltcutter/guthook on the serrated blade and no crimping cutout in the pliers beak or the Charge XTi which has these last 2 things but no scissors.

What is your experience? I will need a Leatherman as I sold my Wave some time ago in anticipation of the Charge and now only have the standard Victorinox Swisstool.

Look thru the "Multi-tools & Multi-purpose Knives" part of the forum. There is a whole thread from a few people that have been able to get one. If I remember correctly, Cabla's has them. You shoud be able to find all the info you need there.

Cougar A,

Thanks for the reminder, you're right I could need an brain transplant, I'm 6 days back from my 3 week holiday in Puerto Rico which had a -6 hour time difference but I've never had an jet lag as I now after 6 days still experience.
Heck I didn't even know there was a multitool forum and the thread about the Charge Ti report, I saw that after I had written down my post.
I guess I should have stayed away from the Don Q gold, to many brain cells have sustained damage ;)

Sorry guys, I'll try to do some better research before posting.

I called ......... Botach they offer the XTi for $77.50 which is a very good price but they lady checked and they were sold out and she couldn't be certain that the new shipement would be on time to have an XTi arrive in San Diego latest Friday August 27. Before anyone jumps on me.. I bought 50 Lithium cells 6 weeks ago from Botach and they arrived in 2 days in San Diego packaged perfectly, but then there are enough other forumites who have not been to happy with them.

Anyhow, I'm going to kill some more brain cells and try to adjust to Dutch time.

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

Whoa -- missing a thread is no big deal, even missing a whole forum, but if you even consider ordering from Botach you need a brain transplant! Search TGB&U here, or run a Google search -- you'll find hundreds of complaints.

I just got mine- a Charge Ti. I am very impressed with it. I really have not had the chance to use it.

I like the construction and the locking mechanism on the tools. My clip blade is hard to open, but I figure that it should loosen up. I like the scissors and I did not need the other tools, so I got the Ti. Overall, it is constructed better than the Wave, but the new Wave also looks promising.

I only paid 72.99 plus shipping off Ebay. I got in on a "But it Now" and jumped on it!
