I curious about the locking mechanism. I've been searching the forums and I haven't found anything. It looks like a nice knife but I'm not crazy about aluminum handles. Anybody have one or pics of how the mechanism works?

I wouldn't be put off by the Aluminium that Böker uses. I have a knife that has their aluminium handles and I rate them as high as any Titanium handles that I've ever held in hands.

Don't have any experience with that particulair folder though.

I don't doubt the toughness of the aluminum Boker uses. I just don't like the feel of metal handles. I'd really like to know more about how the locking mech. works. I was hoping someone here could provide some feedback on the action and how it works.

There are two pins, that go into two holes in the handle. If you press the button, the pins are lifted out of the holes and you can close it again.

There is no need to press the button to open the blade!!!

What kind of mechanism keeps the blade close? For example, ball detent hold the blade from accidental opening for liner lock and frame lock.
