Is it worth it?

I'm looking at getting the Unabridged version and then ripping it to mp3 for portability.

Comments/recommendations?

I read the book. It is a good fictional read, but there are huge plot holes in it and the "history" that Brown claims for it is mostly junk. I wouldn't spend what the CDs would cost to get them unless you want them as a good story. And as storytelling, there are better out there.

Try your Library, I did some 6 hour commuting for a couple of years, and kept my car stocked with free book on CD's

I tried to read it once and never got through it. I borrowed the CDs from the library and really enjoyed it though. It was like 13 hours on CD. Also, as I was listening to it I thought it would make a good movie and Spielberg and Tom Hanks probably won't make a bad movie.

Liked it but used for my commute to MAss from NC. LONG. And I had the abridged version.
