I think I've reached that point where I have way more knives than I can ever use and I'm expecting the new NL5 in a few days.

I think it's time to clean house, good thing there's ebay!

My obsession has never been to have many knives, just one perfect knife!

Anyone else have tooo many knives?

Pfffff, too many knives, what are you on??

Go get some sleep and come back tomorrow to tell us you have too many knives :p

Instead of selling, you may want to consider "trading up". That is trading 2 or 3 or more knives for a higher quality knife. You'll probably do better financially if you trade this way.
I hope that helped.

Depends on who you ask. If you ask my wife, she will tell you that I have to many. As for me I am just getting started. I have about 100 knives.

Like any other tool, I didn't realise that it was possible to have too many knives!

What a strange concept. ;)

Woah, lay off that crack pipe!;) All knife knuts know there's no such thing as too many knives.

But seriously I can relate to searching for the perfect knife and getting rid of some of those along the way that didn't quite meet the standards. Still no such thing as too many knives, though.

Ok, you guys are underestimating how many knives I have.

Over the last year I've sold enough of my collection to buy a cheap motorcycle ($5,000) which I plan on doing in the near future.

I never counted but I must still have near 1,000.

Looks like you guys have some catching up to do!

That is what I did. I sold a few productions and bought this!

:D

I have around 40 knives. I've done the trading up thing but it's hard to have what someone else wants or vice versa. When I decide to cull the herd, I usually end up giving (or selling very cheap) knives to my non-knife and knife-curious friends. I figure it will give them a quality tool (not some POS hardware store knife) and just maybe convert them.

Now that I'm engaged to another knife knut, I usually run those blades past her to see if she wants them before I go to my friends.

There is no such thing as "too many knives" for a collector. It is just a matter of adjustment, redeployment and barter trading.

There is a rhythm to the whole hobby. :) :D

I thought 300 was excessive, 1000+ and your not in the business?

Oh BTW in answer to your question, nevr to many just not enough places to hide them from the wife.:)

My last two collections were motorcycles, and cars, at one point I had 30 cars, the problem was where to keep them. My mom and her boyfriend solved that problem for a while they owned a salvage yard for about 20 years,(fun place to grow up:D  )
