We were supposed to go for a hike yesterday (Connie was off work), but it did not happen. We were getting ready to leave, when the phone rang. It was Becky, the school had just called, Hanna had been knocked down on the playground and hit the back of her head. Becky`s car in in the shop, and Dave`s truck was at his work (he was on the road, he`s a trucker.) So we went to school, then the emergency room so they could do a scan of her head to check for a concussion. That was an all day affair, so no hike, maybe next week. She`s fine, she has a hard head like her grampa!

Glad she's okay. Hope she feels better soon.

We haven't been out since we went to sky bride the other week, but we did catch a concert at renfro valley last night, well my wife did, i wet for a walk down the stream, so kind of.

Glad she's ok. Hard heads are incredibly helpful in this world if my experience is to be believed.
No fun here. Just work.

It is good she is ok. Only wives don't like hard heads I for one I'm glad I hve one. No hair on it; just showing scars and bumps but still working fine

good to hear Hannah is OK.
not having any fun here today -- storms with high winds and lightning chased me indoors around 11 and even though the rain didn't last, the wind did.

wow, didn't expet that news from the headlines, expected happy hiking photos. I am glad she's fine! nothing more inportant!
Glad things are OK John

Happy to hear she is OK!

This wasn't exactly fun but I spent last weekend doing a bunch of work in the yard. Prepping beds, planting grass, digging up grass, putting down 67 bags of mulch and other such stuff. The fun part came in when I was done.

These are the blades of the day and a glass of Three Floyds Zombie Dust, one (maybe even the) best AIPAs I have ever had. It doesn't give you that "mouthfull of hops" it starts off with a bit of fruit and citrus, finishing with a healthy and balanced dose of hoppiness. Just super good, if you see some I would buy it.

The blades both did a lot of work that day too, cutting open mulch bags and pruning. they made a great combo and worked all day without a complaint. It was fun to play with them as well I guess. :)

M camera work sucks but it is a original leathermen micra. after cleaning it up a bit it's almost as good as new. my first good "knife" find. :)

I'm recovering from a bilateral hernia repair surgery, so I can't say I'm having any fun but I am getting more time to chill out online :P

take more medication, mix with beer, and the fun might start! I of course mean that in a perfectly dr. prescribed way! hang in there, recovery time is always annoying, keep the focus on what'll you do and the prgress you'll be making.

Hi John -

Sorry to hear about Hannah! happy that she was ok.

I have been working a lot since I got back from Vegas. I only had 600 emails to get through.

Our kitchen remodel is right on track - the flooring was finished up this afternoon. I'll post some pics, but I also saved some of the scrap wood - it is 3/4" thick solid Amendoin from Brazil, and I thought it would make nice scales - I'll bring a load up when I come up for the gathering.

Last night I was on my weekly meeting with my DBA's in Bangalore, about 11:00pm, and I heard a loud crash upstairs. Maggie had tripped and fallen, face first, into a metal fan. She cut her chin and the inside of her lower lip and came downstairs looking like Jerry Quarry in the 7th round!

Luckily she was ok and we got the bleeding stopped. She has a couple of nasty cuts on her chin though.

That was no fun.

best
