I was asked this question and since I have never heard of one I thought maybe someone on here has.
"Do you ever come across a cold steel I remember seeing in the late 80's, it's a manual deploy otf that came in either a dagger, tanto or sheeps foot blade?"

That's the Rescue series manual otf.
Survival, Military, and Emergency.
Blade configuration is self explanatory for the most part.
They pop up occasionally but seem to be offered at collector prices.
