anybody into these

A) You left off the beginning bracket of your IMG tag.--> [
B) (edited) No longer relevant.
C) Isn't it hard for those things to crawl with the treble hooks attached to them? :D

Edited to add...

Well, it looks like you were editing at the same time I was posting. Your image posting will work, you just need the bracket.

Are those hand painted vintage bombers or the like?

They look kind of vintage, but not like the bombers I have seen.

Now you've my attention.

Why is this still in Community? I moved it to Gadgets & Gear. I also merged the two threads you started. :grumpy:

Moving it......again.

I used to have a lure like that. It swims with an action like a mouse or chipmunk trying to do the Australian crawl. Mine was colored like a chipmunk. I don't recall ever catching a bass with it, but it splashed around a lot and stirred up the water....

Looks sort of like the old Jitterbug lures.

I have something simillar for muskies. I get lots of follows but it's not a very good hooker.

That's it!!!! I've been going crazy trying to think of what they were called but that's it: Heddon Crazy Crawler. I bought mine around 1970 and it had a plastic body, but I've seen older ones that were made of wood.

Being as old as I am, I remember these. I had a good collection of Hula Poppers, Jitterbugs, Lazy Ikes, and similar crank baits from the period.

We had a hardware store down the street that was run by a tight-fisted old German immigrant. "Stock turnover" was a term unknown to him; if he had it, it stayed on the shelf till it sold.
He had a bunch of those huge old crank-baits from the 30s and 40s. (musta had a lot of lunkers back then) 6" long, with three sets of trebles. If only I'd have known....I read years later that these things had become collector's items.

there older then me, ha
there all wood and only a couple have hook dings.:)
