It is the steel used in Microtech's Draganfly series of balisongs. I have one and it seems to be pretty good steel, I have cut quite a bit of stuff with it and it seems to stay sharp pretty good.

I can't find any other knives that use that steel and I was just kind of wondering what other steels it is comparable to.

Anybody know?

It is very similar in it's chemical makeup to ATS-34 and 154CM

14-4: C 1.05%, Mn .5%, Si .3%, Cr 14%, Mo 4%

ATS-34: C 1.05%, Mn .4%, Si .35%, Cr 14%, Mo 4%

154CM: C 1.05%, Mn .5%, Si .3%, Cr 14%, Mo 4%

It's produced by Latrobe. A company that Microtech buys steel from when Crucible runs short on 154CM. Latrobe also produces BG-42. :)
