Hello blade-lovers, I'm new to this forum. I live in NW Indiana, literally 30 minutes away from Chicago and 10 minutes away (or even less) from the eastern Illinois border. Now when it comes to knives and guns, cities often have local laws that differ from the state laws. I know Indiana and Illinois allow for the carrying for knives and daggers.
I have a Chinese dagger and a combat tactical knife, both are about 7.5 inches from handle to tip of blade. I might often visit my cousin at his apartment in Chicago.
So, does anybody know Chicago's knife laws? Like are daggers and combat knives legal to carry concealed or on a belt buckle? Will they refused me service if I come with it let's say to a museum or a planetarium?
