Anybody know how backed up the XM-18 orders are?

I thought that the gen 3 XM-18s were going to be more widely available than the previous version but it doesn't seem like the orders are getting out there. I put my name on the waiting list months ago but still no word. Anyboy know anything or should I just be patient? I'm new to the knife game sort of and this will be my first major purchase.
 
6 months or longer sounds about right. Also, Rick sends out the knives in batches, so you'll have a long wait period, then a whole lot of people showing their new XM-18s. At least that's my recollection.
 
I'm down on the list for one....all I was told was sometime next year.
 
I can at least tell all of you guys waiting that they certainly are worth the wait. Good luck.
