Anybody know what the black stuff is.......

That comes off INFI, or other metals when buffed with metal glow or flitz? I wipe my knives with flitz when they get a little surface rust and wanted to know why the black stuff comes out of the metal. And if I should keep rubbing it until it is all gone?

The black is normal for any quality polishing compound. It will come up every time you polish the blade. Just a normal chemical reaction.

Naw man, it's the ashes from those cheapo Black & G*** cigars Jerry smokes when mixin up batches of INFI on the ol' Coleman stove (while dringing CBL of course...)

Sometimes he drops the ash-head off into a batch....
